Frank Lampard was born on 20 June 1978. He attended Brentwood School from 1989-1994. He was a bright child at school as he achieved eleven GCSE's* and an A+ in Latin.

His father, Frank Sr., played for West Ham and was assistant manager when Frank signed for them. His mother died of pneumonia in 2008.
Frank Lampard signed for West Ham in 1994 as an apprentice while his father was still the assistant manager. He then went on loan to Swansea City and appeared nine times for them before returning to West Ham during the January transfer window.
After West Ham parted ways with manager Harry Redknapp and the assistant manager, Frank Sr. (Frank's father), Lampard left as Chelsea signed him for a fee of £11 million.
In Lampard's first season with Chelsea, he impressed the management quickly and played in every match that season.
The following season he reached double figures as he scored ten goals for the first time in his career.
In the season 2004/2005, Lampard played in all 38 games for the third consecutive season, this time scoring thirteen goals.

On August 15th Lampard signed a new five-year deal. He has been vice-captain at Chelsea since 2004. He is a true leader, and other members of the team look to him as his playing style is incredible.
Not only does he have a great engine to get up and down the field, he can also finish well. Lampard is Chelsea's second highest goal scorer of all time as he has played in 600 games, scoring 200 goals.
Frank Lampard has had a fantastic career. He has not been offered a new contract, however, and his agent said he will be leaving Chelsea at the end of the 2012/2013 season.
